underfloor heating - how it works

Encompas systems operate at low temperature typically between 30ºC - 55ºC, controlled by mixing valves.

Warm water from the heat source is circulated by pumps through continuous lengths of pipes within the floor structure.

Each room is a zone and is connected to a distribution manifold. Room temperature is controlled using a thermostat which is connected to an activator which operates the flow of water from the manifolds.

What's more, it provides heat where you need it. While radiators blast warm air up to the ceiling (Fig.1), the underfloor heating provides a near-ideal heating profile (Fig.2).

That's why research had proved that underfloor heating is cleaner, healthier and more energy efficient than traditional heating methods, providing energy savings of up to 40%.
